Stated Reasons For War, 1982-2003 contains ten enlarged sheets of microfilm from the New York Times. These ten sheets state each president’s reasons for going to war in Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia (twice), Afghanistan, and Iraq (twice). Each panel contains the president’s speech to the American people as military operations begin. Everything is excised from the speech except for the specific reasons for going to war.
