In November 2022, demonstrations erupted in multiple Chinese cities protesting China’s ‘zero-covid’ policy. The protesters held up blank sheets of paper to express their anger and frustration.  One protester stated, “the white paper represents everything we want to say but cannot say”. The work uses images from the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times.
